臺南市，位於臺灣西南平野，是臺灣開發最早的城市，擁有全島最豐富的人文資源，也是我出生長大的地方。臺南市的古蹟之多，位居全臺灣各縣市之冠，在國家核定的古蹟中，臺南市共有五十幾處之多，由於數目眾多，古蹟的密度很高，因此古蹟與臺南人的生活是密不可分的。記得小時候常在赤崁樓裏跑來跑去，高中聯考前學校老師也會帶著大家一起去孔廟祭拜孔子，而南門城就緊臨著學校後面，大天后宮每年農曆三月的迓媽祖更是兒時最喜歡的廟會迎熱鬧活動⋯⋯諸如此類的生活細節，在從前並不覺得有什麼特別，日子就這樣日復一日地流過。
2006 年初，於拍賣網站上買了部二手數位相機，從此打開了我對學習攝影的興趣。每次回臺南最常拍的主題是「古蹟」，隨著拍照經驗一點一滴地累積，發現臺南市擁有這麼多古蹟，對於喜歡攝影的人來說，是件很幸福的事。這個網站便是希望把目前所拍下的臺南市古蹟美麗影像呈現出來，讓更多人可以認識臺南府城古都之美，也歡迎所有喜歡這些照片的人，可以到臺南走走，實地拜訪一下這些珍貴的名勝古蹟。
I was born and grew up in Tainan City, located in the southwestern plain of Taiwan, home to the region's most abundant historic and literary resources. Over fifty designated historic sites are located within Tainan City — the highest density in Taiwan — making these sites inseparable from everyday life here.
In early 2006 I bought a digital camera, which opened up my interest in photography. My favorite subject when visiting Tainan is always "historic sites" — as my experience grew, I realized how fortunate photographers are to have so many here. This site is meant to share what I've photographed of Tainan's historic sites, and to welcome anyone who enjoys these images to visit in person.
